RHA Cares

RHA Cares

Hey Everybody! Listen Up! RHA is being called to action!

I'm sure you're all aware of the fires that have sprung up close by, especially in Conifer and surrounding areas. What you might not know is that these fires are touching the lives of students on this campus and in our residence halls. Specifically, at least three students that are living in the residence halls have lost loved ones in the fires over the past few weeks. One student in particular lost all of his personal belongings, (laptop computer, textbooks, clothing, school materials, personal items, etc), and also lost his mother and home in a fire.

Over the past years, RHA has truly become a family and a group of close friends. Now it is time for us to come together and show that RHA Cares! by standing up and supporting one of our own who is in pain and struggling. SO, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR YOU?

Specifically, here are things you can do to make a difference in the lives of students suffering from effects of the fire:

At AofR tonight or throughout the month:

~Bring Cash Donations

~Bring Giftcards to any retail store or location carrying textbooks, school supplies, or personal necessity items. **An old giftcard just sitting in your wallet would mean the world to a student who is in need**

~Bring New or "Good as New" School Supplies: notebooks, pens, etc.

**NOTE TO THE QUAD: The student specifically mentioned above is a first year engineering student (mechanical or chemical-Has not been confirmed at this time). If you have any textbooks, calculators, supplemental materials, etc that you would be willing to donate or have borrowed for the rest of the semester, they would be very appreciated!

~Come to AofR to create a card to support the students

Please DO NOT Bring:
Food or Clothing Donations

Talk To Your Hall Director if you would like to give a donation at another time or have other questions about how you could donate.

Remember: NO ACTION OR DONATION IS TOO SMALL! ANY DONATION OF TIME OR MONEY MAKES A DIFFERENCE!

What Else You Can Do:

~Put the "RHA Cares!" logo as your profile pic on facebook to help spread the word.

~Repost this on your facebook wall or email this to your staff or friends

~Talk to your friends and neighbors about donating

Everyday, RHA strives to make a difference on this campus. Now, we have the opportunity and the obligation to reach out and continue to do just that by supporting these afflicted students.

What will you do to make a difference?
